Developing our craft of teaching as educators is central to our work here at Baylor. There are numerous resources available to support and expand this work available, and a selection of these are listed below.
Academy for Teaching and Learning
The Academy for Teaching and Learning (ATL) supports our flourishing community of learning at Baylor and promotes the integration of teaching, scholarship, collegiality, and service in a Christian environment.
Active Learning Lab Fellowship
The Active Learning Lab Fellowship is a partnership between University Libraries and the Academy for Teaching and Learning. It is a $500 dollar award, coupled with use of the Active Learning Lab for a full semester course. This fellowship aims to increase the implementation, awareness, and quality of active learning at Baylor by:
- Maximizing the use of the Active Learning Lab for full-semester courses;
- Encouraging faculty to experiment with, reflect upon, and improve their interactive learning strategies;
- Disseminating knowledge of active learning and sparking conversation; and
- Fostering support for similar active learning spaces across campus.
Baylor Fellows
The Baylor Fellows Program recognizes professors across the disciplinary spectrum who exemplify excellence in teaching. Baylor Fellows are committed to pedagogical innovation, inspirational teaching, and the cultivation of these among Baylor faculty.
Learning Design
The Learning Design Team at Baylor is committed to supporting faculty in their calling as teachers by cultivating a culture of pedagogical innovation through a variety of excellent programs.
Seminars for Excellence in Teaching
Academy for Teaching and Learning hosts a dynamic series of one-hour Seminars for Excellence in Teaching (SET) to help colleagues grow and develop in their calling as teachers.
