Jim Bennighof manages faculty-related processes and policies, including hiring, evaluation, and tenure and promotion. He also serves as the liaison between the Office of the Provost and the Baylor University Press, the Institute for Faith and Learning, and the Mayborn Museum.

As the Vice Provost for Institutional Research and Professional Education, Gary Carini is responsible for campus-wide, data-driven decision-making and the development and implementation of professional education, both at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Included in this portfolio is the oversight of the Baylor University Career Center (BUCC), serving all students as they pursue their careers of choice.

Kevin Chambliss is the Vice Provost for Research. His office provides faculty with resources for obtaining funding to support research and scholarship, helps them to collaborate with entities outside the university, and pursues technology transfer and licensing opportunities with industry. His office also provides administrators with research-related information to support decision making and assists other units with research-related publicity.

Wesley Null is Baylor's Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education and Institutional Effectiveness. He provides a common vision for all undergraduate programs, manages the university's SACSOC accreditation efforts, and coordinates with all academic units to achieve goals related to student success.

Vice Provost for Faculty Diversity and Belonging
Steve Reid is the Vice Provost for Faculty Diversity and Belonging. In collaboration with academic deans and other senior leaders, Dr. Reid assists in articulating how Baylor’s commitment to diversity emanates from our Christian mission while also being solutions-oriented. Among his responsibilities are developing resources, strategies, and infrastructure to increase and retain underrepresented faculty by ensuring networks of support and belonging across the array of diverse Christian identities at the University.

As the Vice Provost for Administration and Operations, Lisa Rhiney is responsible for the annual budgeting process for academic units, the financial components of hiring, execution of strategic initiatives, and providing financial analytical support to the provost, vice provosts, deans and directors in academy. She also oversees the Office of the Registrar and works with various stakeholders and project teams across the university in support of the strategic plan.
