Faculty Responsibilities
Faculty members at Baylor University are expected to be in sympathy with and supportive of the University's primary mission: "to educate men and women for worldwide leadership and service by integrating academic excellence and Christian commitment within a caring community." The personal and professional conduct of each faculty member should be supportive of and consistent with this mission. All faculty members are expected to comply with Baylor's Policy on Personal Conduct.
In addition, faculty members at Baylor University are expected to comply with all applicable Baylor University Personnel Policies, as well as those policies relating to teaching.
Though part-time faculty are not expected to be evaluated according to the same criteria of research and service as those for full-time faculty, they are nevertheless expected to maintain a level of excellence in their teaching comparable to that of full-time faculty and to be supportive of the mission of Baylor University.
