Task Force on Veterans and Military-Related Initiatives
The Task Force is charged with conducting a comprehensive review of Baylor’s current academic programs, support services, and campus amenities that serve veterans, active-duty service members, and their families. The goal is to assess existing strengths, identify gaps, and recommend strategic enhancements that reflect Baylor’s commitment to this population.
Consider how we might expand our current offerings:
Academic Innovation
How might we design new undergraduate and graduate academic programs that better align with the talents, experiences, and needs of veterans, service members, and their families?Tuition and Financial Support
How can we more effectively leverage resources such as the G.I. Bill, the Yellow Ribbon Program, philanthropic support, and other external funding sources to provide robust tuition assistance?Holistic Support Services
What additional social, spiritual, and practical support structures are needed to foster a sense of belonging and well-being for this population?Pathways and Pipelines
How might we build a sustainable infrastructure of support that not only serves current students but also creates clear pathways for veterans and service members to enter Baylor?Research and Scholarship
In what ways can Baylor’s research expertise be mobilized to address issues relevant to veterans, service members, and their families?Community and Military Partnerships
How might we strengthen partnerships with local military installations and veteran-serving organizations to enhance outreach, recruitment, and support?
