Preparation for Thursday’s Online Final Exams

Dear Faculty and Staff: 

Thank you again for your patience late last week as we navigated the complications surrounding the loss of access to Canvas.  As of this writing, Canvas remains operational, and the final exam schedule continues as communicated on Friday morning.  Final exams originally scheduled for Friday, May 8, will be conducted online on Thursday, May 14.  All remaining exams will continue as scheduled.

 As you prepare for Thursday’s exams, please consider using the resources available at the Canvas Support page and, more specifically, the Respondus support page.  Keep in mind that the Academy for Teaching and Learning and University Libraries Learning Design team stand ready to support you as well.

Also, we will not be changing the deadlines for grade submission.  You can find those deadlines at this link.  For the doctoral group that has a certified commencement and a Thursday grade deadline, the Office of the Registrar will work directly with those units to address any questions or concerns.

Finally, as mentioned in my message last Friday, we will be in touch as rapidly as possible should another Canvas outage occur.

I am grateful for all that you are doing during this extremely busy time of the academic year.  I wish you the best as we complete final exams this week.
