Truett Theological Seminary
- Oligarchy in America: Power, Justice, and the Rule of the Few (The University of Alabama Press, 2024) by Luke Winslow, Associate Professor of Communication
- Becoming the Pastor's Wife: How Marriage Replaced Ordination as a Woman’s Path to Ministry (Brazos Press, 2025) by Beth Allison Barr, The James Vardaman Endowed Professor of History
- Seize the City, Undo the State: The Inception of Russia's War on Ukraine (Oxford University Press, 2025) by Serhiy Kudelia, Associate Professor of Political Science
- Another Throat: 21st Century US Persona Poetry and the Archive (The University of North Carolina Press, 2024) by Ryan Sharp, Assistant Professor of English
Throughout the 2025-2026 academic year, the Baylor Libraries will host a series of Readers Meet the Author sessions that are available both in-person and virtually via Zoom Webinar that will place these authors in conversation with a colleague of their choosing. Audience Q&A—both in-person and virtual—is an important component of each session. A complete schedule of these events and participants is available at provost.web.baylor.edu/rma.
“The Readers Meet the Author series continues to showcase the exceptional work of our faculty and celebrate the enduring practice in the Academy of engaging ideas for the sake of civil academic discourse,” said Baylor President Linda Livingstone. “These conversations sharpen our intellectual sensibilities and make faculty scholarship even more accessible to our peers within the Baylor community."
The Readers Meet the Author series is presented by the Office of the President and the Office of the Provost and hosted by the Baylor Libraries. Each session is followed by a reception with light refreshments and a book signing with the author. Copies of this year’s Readers Meet the Author selections are available on a featured display in the Baylor Bookstore and will also be available for purchase at each session.
